Last Toyota GR Supra MkV Goes to Auction for Paul Walker’s Charity

The very last fifth-generation Toyota GR Supra has a VIN that ends in 99999, a signature from Akio Toyoda on the engine cover, and no price tag. Toyota is giving it away, and 100% of the hammer price will go to Reach Out WorldWide, the disaster-relief charity founded by the late Paul Walker.

The car crosses the block at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction in Arizona, which runs from 23 to 31 January 2027.

VIN 99999: One of One

Toyota announced the donation on 8 September 2026 and called it a “full-circle moment” for the fifth-generation Supra. The car is a Final Edition, the run-out model that Toyota limited to 1,300 units for North America.

This one is still different from the other 1,299. It wears a Phantom Gray finish that no other Final Edition has, plus the GT4 Style Pack, inspired by the GR Supra GT4 race car. The buyer also gets a one-year NASA (National Auto Sport Association) membership with a free track day.

The Final Edition Is the Best-Driving MkV

The Final Edition is not just stickers. Toyota changed the chassis to make the last cars the sharpest MkV Supras of all:

  • Revised differential control and traction maps to reduce understeer
  • New front and rear camber, retuned adaptive dampers and a stronger front anti-roll bar
  • Stronger suspension mounts and a stiffer under-body brace
  • Larger Brembo brake discs and 19-inch matte black wheels on Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres

Power stays at 382 hp. With the manual, Toyota quotes 0–60 mph in 4.2 seconds. The automatic is quicker on paper at 3.9 seconds, but this car is a three-pedal Supra, the version most fans asked for.

Can It Beat $2.1 Million?

This is not the first Supra charity sale at Barrett-Jackson. On 19 January 2019, the first production 2020 GR Supra, VIN ending in 20201, sold for $2.1 million in Scottsdale. That money went to the American Heart Association and the Bob Woodruff Foundation.

Barrett-Jackson boss Craig Jackson has made the target clear: the auction house wants the last MkV to challenge that record. No pre-sale estimate has been published. For comparison, a normal 2025 GR Supra 3.0 started at $56,250 before delivery fees.

Why Paul Walker Matters to Supra Fans

For a whole generation, the Supra is Paul Walker’s car. In the first The Fast and the Furious film (2001), his character Brian O’Conner drove the orange MkIV Supra that turned the A80 into a global JDM icon.

That movie car is a collector piece now. One of the film Supras sold at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas in June 2021 for $550,000.

Walker founded Reach Out WorldWide in 2010. The group sends volunteer first responders to disaster zones. His brother Cody Walker now runs it, and the Walker family’s FuelFest car shows have raised more than $1 million for ROWW since 2018.

From A80 Legend to MkV Goodbye

The MkIV (A80) Supra, with its famous 2JZ engine, went out of production in 2002. After a 17-year break, Akio Toyoda brought the name back. The MkV made its world debut in Detroit on 14 January 2019.

The new car was co-developed with BMW and built in Graz, Austria, which split opinion among purists. But Toyota kept improving it. Power on the 3.0 grew to 382 hp, a 6-speed manual arrived for the 2023 model year, and the car raced in Formula Drift, Super Taikyu and the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

Toyota has not officially shown a sixth-generation Supra yet. For now, its closest Japanese rival is the Nissan Z, which also offers a twin-turbo six and a manual gearbox.

Our Take

This is our opinion: it is the perfect send-off. The MkV started life as “the BMW Supra” and ends as a manual, track-tuned car that fans respect. Ending its story with Paul Walker’s charity links the new Supra to the A80 that made the name famous.

The weak point? Under the special paint and signature, it is still a 382 hp Final Edition, a car you can buy for normal money. The price will be about emotion and charity, not specs. We think it has a real chance to pass $2.1 million, because Supra fans and Fast & Furious fans are one big crowd.

Your Turn

What do you think the last MkV GR Supra will sell for in January: under $1 million, or a new record above $2.1 million? Tell us in the comments.
